Workbar

Workbar is a shared workspace with multiple locations. Workbar provides an extraordinary workplace for its members; meeting rooms to meet with clients and give presentations, and an event space for various social and educational programming, including happy hours, lunch seminars, workshops, and networking events. In short, Workbar offers the professionalism of a corporate office, the flexibility of a gym, and the comfort of a cafe.

Anderson Porter Design provided architectural design services for the build-out of 13,000 square feet of raw space on the first floor, mezzanine, and fifth floor of 130 Bishop Allen Drive in Cambridge. The concrete frame building, designed by Josep Lluis Sert, provided a distinctive backdrop for Workbar’s engaging and interactive network of creative entrepreneurs and start-ups.

Workbar features a wide variety of work settings to support multiple work styles for individuals and teams. Allsteel office was a creative partner in the project, bringing its most recent suite of workplace furnishings to further support the flexible needs and preferences of Workbar’s members.
